Lucky Restaurant boasts one of the most famous Indian cuisines in town. Situated in the heart of Mumbai, Bandra, the lucky restaurant is a place to go for any age group.
It’s no secret that our chef Varun Inamdar has a taste for adventure. And today, On the occasion of Independence Day he went beyond his comfort zone in search of culinary inspiration for the filming of a restaurant who has seen the phase of Independence and have been a part of it.
Sayyed Ali Akbar started Lucky restaurant in 1938. Syed Safar Ali(fourth generation) who is the current co-owner of the Restaurant has been working here since the age of 10. Started on 9th of September 1938, which means, for more than 75 years, Lucky at Bandra has served us mouth-watering biryani, kheema pav, brain Tawa masala, and mutton samosa along with the later additions such as Chinese and seafood. Started as a seven dishes restaurant, now serves more than 200 different cuisines. From mill workers to World War II soldiers they’ve all been patrons.

I watch your shows. But sorry to say, I had been to there Bandra as well as goregaon branch tried chicken and mutton biryani both I did not like. Could'nt even eat
I used to eat rice with bare hands…all my friends made fun of me …they said dont eat like jungle…ab naa chahte hue bhi spoon se khana pdta hai…they call it table manners to eat with spoon

I have my office in town bombay and coming back home i have my lunch in lucky and it is really awesome i mean the birayni don't have much oil which is good for our health and the ambiance is quiet good and the staff is really good they even know at what i visit lucky and what have in LUNCH it is a nice try to restaurant
